Dr Alice Bennett 

Dr Bennett is a rural-based gastroenterologist and hepatologist working in private practice in the mid-north of South Australia. Her expertise extends across a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions, with a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. 

Dr Bennett completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Monash University, and thereafter completed physician training and specialist gastroenterology training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre, respectively.

Dr Bennett completed a Masters degree in Philosophy/Medical Science focused on ‘Improving care for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease’ and partnered with the Rural Medical School at Adelaide University, as a Course Coordinator to provide face-to-face and online tutoring of rural medical students. 

Dr Bennett is committed to improving the life of rural patients with gastrointestinal complaints and teaching medical students, and maintains professional development certification.
