Dr Sanj Mudaliar

Dr Sanj Mudaliar is a consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist at the Royal Brisbane and Woman’s Hospital, and a Senior Lecturer in the School of Medicine at the University of Queensland. After completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in psychology and pharmacology at the University of Sydney, Dr Mudaliar moved to Adelaide to complete a Doctor or Medicine at Flinders University in 2010. He then returned to NSW to undertake Basic Physician Training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. With a keen interest in medical education and training Dr Mudaliar took up a position at Liverpool hospital in Sydney’s west as Clinical Superintendent, overseeing the design and development of the hospitals physician education program.

He subsequently completed gastroenterology core training back at Royal Prince Alfred hospital, before returning to Liverpool to undertake a two year fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy. In 2023 he moved to Queensland to complete a third advanced endoscopy followship at the Royal Brisbane and Woman’s Hospital before commencing as a consultant. When not at work Sanj enjoys exploring his new home of Queensland with his wife and two young children.
