Madie Prendergast

Madie Prendergast is a Clinical Dietitian at Alice Springs Hospital working in acute care. She has a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Griffith University, Gold Coast). She is currently participating in the ‘Allied Health Rural Generalist Program’ where she is implementing Malnutrition Screening in the Oncology Unit at Alice Springs Hospital to allow these patients to have access to Dietetic care. Madie provides medical nutrition therapies to countless patients who are experiencing Liver Disease and Liver Cirrhosis. Her career interests include: gastroenterology, rural generalism, Indigenous health and rural/remote health. 

On the weekends Madie likes to volunteer at the local AFL club, camp & explore the outback. She is looking forward to sharing her insights surrounding Liver Cirrhosis in a Rural/remote healthcare setting.
