Dr Emily He is a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Concord Hospital and a senior research fellow at the Daffodil Centre, a joint venture between the University of Sydney and Cancer Council NSW. Her research centres on translational epidemiology, focussing on the use of observational epidemiological studies to inform clinical practice and shape health services implementation in colorectal and liver cancer control, with a particular interest in population screening. Dr He was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2017 to explore new innovations in bowel cancer screening, and was part of the working party for the latest national colorectal cancer guidelines for population screening and hepatocellular carcinoma surveillance clinical guidelines.
