Dr Mohammad Karimi Moridani
I received my PhD in Biomedical Engineering-Bioelectric in 2015, where my research focused on developing a novel method for predicting mortality in ICU patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions. After completing my PhD, I served as an assistant professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Tehran Medical sciences (IAU), Iran. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (BABS) at UNSW, Australia.
My research interests include Biomedical Signal and Image Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs). I have extensive experience with biomedical signal processing for disease detection, particularly in conditions such as Epilepsy, Apnea, Parkinson’s, and Cardiac Diseases. Additionally, I have worked on image processing projects such as pattern recognition and breast cancer detection.
Currently, my focus is on leveraging computational methods, including data analysis and machine learning, to advance biomedical research and enhance detection methods for liver disorders.
