Rabina Giri completed her PhD in 2024 at The University of Queensland, where she investigated the interactions between host and gut microbiome in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). She is now a postdoctoral fellow at the Mater Research Institute UQ, working in Jakob Begun's laboratory. Her current research focuses on exploring how host genetics and gut microbiome interact to modulate inflammation and evaluating the efficacy of bacterial derived small molecules as potential therapies for IBD
