Dr Shoma Dutt

Dr Dutt is a Senior Staff Specialist and Clinical Lead for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney, following medical training at the University of Tasmania and postgraduate qualifications from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

In her role, Dr. Dutt focuses on enhancing care quality for pediatric IBD patients and tackling the increasing incidence of IBD in children. Her work includes improving therapeutic drug monitoring, developing dose escalation protocols, and optimizing therapy through drug and stool monitoring. She has been crucial in developing the pediatric module for the CCCare IBD program, which includes remote monitoring, point-of-care testing, and transition pathways for adolescents.

Dr. Dutt is a Principal Investigator or co-investigator in various phase 2/3 and phase 3 clinical trials in pediatric populations. Her dedication to quality care is matched by her commitment to education, contributing to the Medical Program and the Masters in Medicine (Paediatric) Program at the University of Sydney.
