Dr. Emma Flanagan is a gastroenterologist at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Emma leads the Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Pregnancy clinic at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. She has completed a PhD focussing on inflammatory bowel disease in pregnancy and is conducting ongoing clinical research in this field. Emma has trained in gastrointestinal ultrasonography, completing a fellowship in Milan, Italy in 2017. She is currently serving on the International Bowel Ultrasound (IBUS) Committee and is the outgoing Secretary of the Australian gastrointestinal ultrasound network (GENIUS)..
