Dr Beswick is a specialist gastroenterologist who treats patients at St John of God Geelong Hospital. She has strong interests in both inflammatory bowel disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. Dr Beswick completed her medical degree at the Royal Free and University College London carrying out an additional honours science degree during her training. She moved to Australia in 2006 and completed her physician training at Geelong Hospital before undertaking her first year of specialist gastroenterology training again at Geelong Hospital. She then went onto complete her gastroenterology training at Monash Medical Centre with two clinical fellowship years in inflammatory bowel diseases at Box Hill and the Alfred Hospitals under the supervision of Professor Peter Gibson, Dr Miles Sparrow and Dr Daniel van Langenberg. She carried out a number of research projects that were published in national and international peer reviewed journals. She is also dedicated to teaching and is a senior lecturer at Deakin University. She mentors a number of physician trainees each year at Geelong Hospital and is involved in teaching and examining medical students on a regular basis. She continues to be involved in active inflammatory bowel disease research at a local and national level.
