Louise is a PhD candidate at the Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney. After completing her Bachelor of Science in 2020, she began her Honours and subsequently continued into her PhD under the supervision of Associate Professor Andrew Holmes and Professor David Raubenheimer. Her research focuses on understanding how diet and the gut microbiome interact to influence host health, with the aim of improving the prediction of dietary prevention outcomes. Specifically, her current work investigates the effects of varying levels of food processing on the canine gut microbiome and health. A highlight of her PhD journey so far has been meeting and cuddling many furry canine participants!
