Associate Professor Robert Feller is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist and senior staff specialist at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. He is a conjoint Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of NSW. He completed a PhD in molecular hepatology at the Centenary Institute and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. His wide clinical interests include general endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, autoimmune liver disease and hepatocellular cancer. Current clinical projects include efficacy of AI-enhanced capsule endoscopy reading, use of capsule endoscopy in acute obscure GI bleeding, long term outcomes after capsule endoscopy and as part of an international study of survival in hospitalised cirrhotic patients. A/Prof Feller has had a long involvement in medical teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate level. He is a long-term convenor of the NETI-capsule endoscopy course and of the NSW capsule endoscopy group as well as Chair of the SB interest group in GESA.
