Dr Shara Ket is a gastroenterologist at the Alfred Hospital Melbourne. She has undertaken endoscopic fellowships at Monash Health, Melbourne as well as the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, United Kingdom. She has a PhD in peri-endoscopic management of gastrointestinal bleeding. She continues to have a strong interest in research, is the principal investigator of multiple trials and studies and is an adjudicator for the ASPREE trial. She has been faculty for the National Endoscopy Training Initiative courses and is a director of the Digestive Health Centre, day hospital in Melbourne. She has a particular interest in ensuring trainees and junior gastroenterologists are well trained, competent and confident to perform high quality endoscopy.
